2016 in Photos week 1/52

grass dwells-blog One of my resolutions for 2016 is a weekly photography project capturing moments of my week, particularly those I share with the girls. I’m not setting any rules other than I want to take the photos  using my Canon camera rather than the iphone and I will share one a week on my instagram account @katherinedorrington and the rest here with a few comments to remind me of what we were doing.  Some weeks I know it will be hard to get one decent photo to share, but I’m committed! The ultimate aim at the end of the year is to print them into a book.

This first week of the new year was a short week but a very photographic one. We spent New Year’s Day at my mum’s place in Dwellingup. She has an ah-maz-ing garden which I raid each time I visit and my two girls absolutely adore the place.

One of the garden beds in my mum’s garden filled with white, purple, pink and dark red Scabiosa, they were my height. In comparison the ones in my garden in Perth grow to about 20cm if I’m lucky!

I hope you had a fab start to the new year.
